Come with the problem, not a brief. Working out what it actually is happens on the call.
- What is actually going wrong, in your words rather than in a framework.
- What you have already tried, and why it did not hold.
- Whether the problem is technology, process, sequencing, or decision-making — they need different answers.
- What a sensible first piece of work would look like, and roughly what it would take.
- Whether we are the right people for it, or whether someone else would serve you better.
